bug eye rev counter problem?????

Default bug eye rev counter problem?????

iv just bought a 02 sti type uk and the rev counter is slightly weird,when the car is warm and at idle it reads 1500 rpm but the exhaust note tells me it is at idle around 900 i would say ,the counter works fine is just reading 500/600 rpm to high anyone any ideas

have the gauges been split before...ie to change the backlight colour ?

hi mate i dont think the clocks have been split its still original colour and no signs of tampering,it isnt a big issue but its something i would like to put right

iv just realised that the needle only goes down to 1100 rpm when the engine is turned off,im now wondering is this something that someone has seen before or is it simply that the clocks have been out and split and not reasembeled properly ,car doesnt look like clocks where out
