Default Bosch 044 current draw

Hi all im going to be installing a swirl pot set up in my project car using a walbro 255 in tank as a pick up pump feeding the swirl pot and an inline bosch 044 feeding the rails.
Does anyone know the max current draw for the bosch 044 pump? i take it i cant run it from the oe fuel pump relay and cables due to cable size, fuse/relay size etc....or can i?.
How have other people using the same set up got power to the bosch.

best to run it's own power and ground, you could use another fuel pump relay like the standard 1, check the fuse rating for the walbro but i would of thought no more than 10amp

I've done exactly this on my car.

Using the current fuel pump wiring as a trigger for a relay for the 044 you then run a new power cable from the battery to the 044 relay and then from the relay to the 044pump. I used some 30amp cable for good measure.

Not a difficult job by any means.

Here's some pics of mine:

Add a fuse near the battery (in the feed to the relay) to avoid any combustion related antics....

Got the Walbro hi-flow pump from a Lateral group buy on here it says to use a 20 amp fuse. This pump is rated between the 255lph and the Bosch 044.
