Default Speedo wire help- 1998 Uk car

Hi all- trying to work out which wire feeds my speedo, as need to connect a Blitz power meter.

I took this pic, and was told the black wire pin 1 on the right hand block, but the black wire is no3, and has a silver dot on it.

I did try connecting the wire to that, but got no reading.

All help appreciated.

Cheers

Grant

There is a pinout on his site, but cant get the Blitz to read the ecu wire, so thought I would attack it from the speedo side

if the blitz is not picking it up it may be faulty, do you have a wiring diagram for the blitz?

is the unit simular to the apexi rev/speed monitor,

what inputs does it have for you to monitior

These are the instructions- http://www.japrace.com/images/instru...r-iD-Gauge.pdf

Im just trying to connect the orange wire- car is a 98 UK, so no convertors or limiters.

I did use JGM's pinout for the ECU side, and went for wire 3 in the middle block http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/pinouts.htm

but no joy either.

ok try these pinout

plug B135 pin number 3

plug B135 pin number 14

i would say the 1 to look for is a wire that goes from 0-5, as this is a speed pulse as apposed to a speed output, i would say plug 135 pin number 3,

Thats the pin I went for, but cant get it to read.

I presume it would read if it was wrapped together, but does it need soldering on?
