Default Subaru Head unit help please

Chaps I have original unit below, I wish to install another head unit, how can I get this out without damaging anything, as I dont have a removal tool - can I make something up -

I appreciate this topic may be sensitive I can assure you im being genuine, thanks in advance -

Either go to Halfords etc and buy a removal tool, or go to an ICE dealer and pay them to remove it.

A wire coat hanger (or thin wire) cut into 4 bits might fit into the 4 holes at the sides then just lever out. The proper tools just slide back a catch which keeps the radio in.

Yeah, some do, and others have a little tang that engages with the radio to help pull it out. They only cost a couple of £.

worked a treat guys with coat hanger, and scarily easy to do! - oh well no ones interested in car tape decks anymore are they??!! -
