engine check light on and pulsing

engine check light on and pulsing
Hi all...
I was recently investigating my fan blower problem and at one point I disconnected battery literary for 2 minutes. when I connected battery my engine check light come on pulsing and it stayed like that since.... any advice how to turn this of any tips or ticks? ill appreciate every help. My car is Subaru Impreza 1998 - model 1.6 Lx Wagon 2WD.
