Default Wiring in Auto Style Gauges

Hi, picked up a second hand auto style boost gauge to go on my a-pillar, thing is doesn't come with any wiring !!

There are 3 pins on the back, apparantely one is live, one is negative and one is ignition, but which ones????

will post a pic up when I can, but if anyone out there knows please let me know !!!!!!!

have a search for auto gauge fitted instructions. they are usually pdf files on the web somewhere

Pop into your local halfords and have a sneaky peak at the instructions in one of the boxes! I've thrown mine away and it's too fiddly to take out again!

thanks and some good ideas there, why didn't I think of those .... lol

Alcazar - sender?? I know I should but I'm not sure what one of them is ... lol

They are mechanical so no sender needed. Make sure you have the correct T piece with the brass restrictor inside it or else you will not get consistant boost readings.

for power i wired mine to the lighter socket as its on the ignition switch, mine is a stepper motor gauge so made my own power loom and works fine, as for earth i used a nut on the pedal box i think it is cant remeber now but fires up everytime and does its auto check.
