Swapping horn on a blobeye
Is it a easy job? Any how-to's out there for a complete novice??
I have some of those Stebel Magnum Dual horns, so i no longer sound like noddy.

First time I hit the horn in my 07 STI the kids nearly fell out laughing. Course its not something you generally test during a test drive and it was a great shock the first time I used it! Such a pansy horn coming from such a motor is comical! think our Japanese friends must have had a good laugh designing that in.
I absolutely need to change mine too. What are these Stebel Magnum Dual horns like? Sorry haven't looked into how to replace the horn yet. But can't be too hard right?

Yeah, they made a massive difference. I sold the car shortly after fitting, so never got round to doing a sound comparison clip.
Really easy to fit, once you know what you're doing. The hardest part was trying to remove the existing horns. I couldn't get one off and had to leave it there.
You basically remove the front grille, unclip both the horns, fit the new horns and clip the wires on, with an earth setup. I needed to buy wire & clips from halfords. I got some help explaining the wires/clips from 53WRX, which was a great help and had i not had the problem removing the existing horns, then i would've completed it in about 1.5hrs. And that's me doing it, i've done nothing like this before!!
BIG improvement! Great £25 mod.

I went investigating how 2 replace th horns on. The hawkeye and found one of the two horns with no cable connected. So found and fitted it and it made a slight improvement - not so gay. Ordered the magnums anyway. Expect them soon. U can get them here... Take care to get the twin pack with the different harmonised notes. Some are selling twin lows. ..
