this might be a silly question but better to be safe than sorry
i have just changed my injectors to 550cc ones out of a phase 11/2 mines a phase one,the plugs are different so i got them with the injectors.looking at the wires and plugs thay have all got a yellow cable and one other colour but on the new plugs they are on the other side to the original ones,so can i connect them up the same ie yellow to yellow and other one to the other

All the wires do is induce a magnetic field in a copper coil to open the injector. The only snag could be is if they have fitted a quench diode across the coil. The quench diode is used to speed up the collapse of the magnetic field thus closing the injectors quicker, which considering the speed they operate at is very probable. If this is the case and the injector is reverse connected at best nothing would happen as no magnetic fieldwould be generated. At worst if the quench diode goes short circuit it could blow the transistors controlling the injectors on the ECU. Try a search on here for the relevant wiring diagrams to cross refer too.

Hope this helps Steve.
