FOLDING MIRRORS ON 1994 WRX
Hi there, i have a 1994 WRX import, i want folding mirrors on the car, i have got the switch that you need to have folding mirrors but i have plugged it in and it does nothing. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas how i go about it. Someone said that most imports come with the motors already installed just need the switch but wasnt totally sure. Can someone help me

I thought that imports had these?
You'll need to check that the mirrors have the folding motors in them first, IIRC, there should be five wires going to the mirrors.
Then check that the motors work, finally check the wiring from switch to mirrors.
I did a "how to" for fitting them to a UK car, last july, so search for that, it may help.

Thanks for the reply, i will thanks for the advice, i will have a good look for the 5 wires, how can you tell if the mirrors have the motors?
I have checked the back of the switch and all the wires are present and correct.

The early classic imports didn't have the folding mirrors Sean. If you look at mirrors like ours, they are a slightly more squarish than the later classic mirrors and don't have the folding motors in them. You'll need to change your actual mirrors and follow that thread on fitting them to modify the wiring.
Or of course...just fold your existing ones in by hand.
