From what i understand it is only those that move.
How much did you pay for your morettes?? HID option is an extra £500. So if you paid around £400-500 for the morrettes then it is likely you didnt get them.
Also, are your lights bright white like on the BMW's?? If not, then you once again do not have HID's

MBC - these sound like the high output Osram bulbs not HID. If they are HID, there would be a small square ballast unit (normally directly behind and below the headlamp unit). The Scoobsport kit uses Philips units.
The Osram bulbs are very good - I had these before HID. The best thing to do is take your car down to an MOT centre and get them to check the lights out.
Cheers

MBC - that is the black box It produces the 25000 volts or so needed to arc across the contacts in the bulbs to ignite the gas. If it is the Scoobysport kit, then it should say 'Phillips' on the outside of it.
I had to play around with the alignment of the headlamps to get them right. I have had them set at an MOT station and I still think they are bit low. The projector beam does give a very defined cutoff in the light (as opposed to normal H4 bulbs in reflector units).
Still reckon it's worth getting them checked at an MOT station.
I'll try and take a picture tonight and post it up.

I have std (non-HID) morettes on my MY01. Adjuster on dash moves both lights up and down. Had to get the dealer to readjust them as they were set too low initially. Also swapped the bulbs for Philips Vision Plus. Now very happy with them. They pick out distant objects rather than throw a general pool of light as they are a projector-type setup.

Curious - was hte £650 including supply, painting and fitting?
As cheapest i can find is £260 supply, £120 painting and £80 fitting (£460) for non-hid, can add another £420 for hid option (£880) and none of that is from dealer - so dealer usually more?

Each lamp unit is independently adjustable as the horizontal and vertical alignment will be different for each unit to get the correct light pattern on the road.
I had my lights adjusted at the dealers, the car was having other work done at the same time, and the lighting is now much better.

I think there's adjusters on the units themselves to set up each one independently, and then an electrical up/down adjustment that is controlled from the dial on the dash and should affect both lights.

Both lights go up and down on my Morettes when i twist the dial!!!
Sounds like ones gone wrong.
Ive got Osram - they give a prism effect at the top of the light beam - "red and yellow and pink and green........" as the song goes

Got me worried, so I've just checked on my new MY02 with Morettes. Yes, they both work, but it seems like they don't move precisely in tandem, if you see what I mean....
AFAIK, I have standard bulbs in (they were fitted by Garage Knockaert in Belgium before I took delivery), but the dipped beams still have that 'prism effect' rainbow shading to the top of the beam. I understand that it's more to do with the projector design than the type of bulb.
