Default Instruments change?

How easy is it to swap out the instruments from a 98 car, with white dials and an electronic speedo, for those from a version 6 STi?

Anyone done it? I gather the STi ones have a centre diff display, but apart from that, is the wiring the same?
Plus will my odometer fit the new set, or will I be stuck with whatever the new set one says? I ask, since mine is nearly 11 years old but has only done 83,000 miles.

Jeff the usual "fix your mileage" types will adjust your's to match for a fee.

Sorry, I don't know about the wiring.

Not easy to drop V5/6 clocks into a 4. Before even thinking about electrical compatibility (or otherwise), the plugs are completely different, so at very least you'd be looking at getting hold of a 5/6 instrument cluster and the three plugs with a bit of loom on each, and then some time with a soldering iron splicing it all together.

What would happen when you power it up, though, is anyone's guess.
