As above, for an 03-04 shape Sti, i think its HB4 is this correct??

Any implications of fitting HIDS?

Certainly not a HB4, lists them all in the handbook. I've got HID's dip and beam no problems, much improved after many blown uprated bulbs and very fiddly trying to change them.

good job, where abouts did u mount ur ballasts?

If you do a search you should find a guide all about it. If you take out the headlights, which you will need to if you change the sidelights I think you can fit them under the lights somewhere. It depends on if you go for slimline ballasts or not. I got one stuck to the battery and another on top of the fusebox cover near the wing next to it. On the drivers side they are down near the back of the headlight and air box.
