Default FF1000 - Fitment to Classics?

How easy are the Hella FF1000 Driving Lamps to fit in to a Classic STi5 Bumper.
Will I have to make some brackets? If so any Template knocking around?

If anyone has fitted them, I'd like to see photos of how they sit in the bumper.

Any help is much appreciated.

I'll be fitting mine over the weekend. If you can wait that long I'll get some dimensions and photos for you. They are second hand so came with brackets fitted which I can measure. They are the xenon version so don't know if they are any different to the halogen ones, but guess they shouldn't be too different.

Evening Nathan,

The mounting holes on all bumpers up to the end of the bug-eyes is the same, my PIAA's went straight on my bug from my catalunya.

P.S. Apex Performance in Bradford do really cheap H1 HID kits.... Absolutely stunning (in the dark)

P.P.S. the genuine brackets have a "dish like" mount welded on, if you need to I can lend you one to have copied. T'other is a mirror image

Sorry for the delay not been near a computer!!!

That would be great if you could get me some photos of them fitted Puddle Jumper. How fair they stand proud of the bumper would be great.

Duncan, been following your progress and yes I'll definitely be going down the after market H1 route. My pockets aren't deep enough for the xenon originals
Been looking at buying in from the states, but to be fair I might as well get them from the dealers, the way things stand with the Pound!!!!!
If all the fixing brackets fit the bumpers correctly I'll have no problems at all.
The kit from Subaru is marked up as a complete driving lamp kit. I take it yours from Subaru came with the original dished brackets?

Yes the kit is a full pair, someone on here took my advice () and got a set !

But mine came from a wee Scottish lad at a very good price, way less than the £350 + VAT they were listed at.... darenn't think what they have gone up to now !

P.S. The "kit" allows the reflector to bolt directly to the bracket, missing out the normal mounting handware the spot light version would have.

Looking good. I got em priced up at £210 inc VAT. and that was definitely for the pair. Halogen set for sure.

Demon Tweeks have the HID version of the 1000FF's for £451 ex VAT each, so £910 a pair plus VAT Thats a carzy price. I will bet getting these for the new Impreza

You will need to run a holesaw through the back to take the longer/bulkier HID globe assembly.... sized to suit the grommet supplied...
