Default Are yellow lights legal?

Ive just bought a fresh import and when I put the headlights on for the first time I was shocked to find they were bright yellow!!

The car has come with a new MOT but I'm still wondering if yellow bulbs are road legal here in the uk?

Pardon the pun, but can anyone throw any light on the subject??

Cheers guys.

I think that if the headlamp unit is only capable of emiting yellow light, then it's okay. If it's just the bulb or a film over the headlamp then it's probably not.

Either way, you'll be wanting a white light so that you can see where you are going

Popular with the "ethnic" taxi drivers in Morley, so probably legal.

LOL noticed that myself dunx. Is it something to do with driving on the continent? A drunken conversation with a Morley based taxi driver keeps coming to mind
