I have a problem with the electric windows on my MY98 uk 2000 turbo. All the windows except the drivers windows have stopped working. Have the following issues.
- Passanger window goes down but not up. (Have checked motor is fine as window goes up with a power probe) (also no change in loom when master switch operated)
- Rear pasenger winows do not go up, go down very slowly (but do with a power probe)
- Only drivers works up and down.
- Only drivers door works on master panel.

Don't think so as have taken the switch of the front and tried it on the rear and that works.
I think its something to do with the power that comes to the switch. (a bit of a gestimate to be honest)

Can you take that bit out of the circuit? It works to CUT the power to all other windows, so if it has an intermittent fault, only the driver's window will work.
See, if the DRIVER's side window works OK, then it's NOT likely to be the power coming TO the switch, OK?
That means the fault MUST be somwhere between there and the other three windows? And the first place it comes from is that extra switch, since that FEEDS the other three, if you see what I mean?
Can you short it out and see what effect that has?
