Default Classic Morette question

I know there are still some light experts on here since alcazar left. So hopefully you will know.
I have acquired some classic morettes. The inners are FUBARED, but these are not necessarily needed. However, I also don't have any wiring/relays for them.
IF I just plug my regular bulb unit into the morettes, I won't need any. Correct?

If they are the original H4 lamps, then yep just plug them in ...the wiring/harness/relay is only needed for the main beam inners (& It's pretty easy to make a harness up anyway).

I'd recommend keeping the main beams (& I'm working on a solution to the 5" TSM's being obsolete) ...unless you've got a pair of driving lamps?

Was it off ebay? Because I was enquiring about some citroen lights, but there are no measurments. I've asked them for them, and they say they can only give me info with my chassis number. Told them its no good, as its not a citroen, but they haven't measured them for me yet.

Was that your plan A, or do you have other options. I'm still on the look out.

Plan A is back in action ...Plan B is going back on a well know online auction site ...soon!

I need to order some Sikalastomer 710 butyl to bond the lamp & bracket, needs to be butyl so you could seperate them at at later date ...would use carafax but it's not available in black

Good stuff. Get some pics up, and links to parts.

Couple of idea's I've had:

Get some clear plastic (perspex) cut to size, and bond it to the inside of the morette case, then you can fit other smaller lamps, or eithef something HID.
Or the same thing but with the original morette lamp glass.
White carafax won't make a difference. You wont even see it.

Will do

Problem with attaching/bonding anything to the morette chassis is that you'd lose the ability to adjust it

re:carafax ...yeah I know, i'm just being a fussy bu&&er

Couldn't see them on their site. Even so, 50 quid a piece will take me over budget on my morettes. I should have just bought them new.
