sealant for rear clusters??

Default sealant for rear clusters??

I'm gonna be changing rear clusters, what sealant should i use. the remains on the replacement ones is black and very sticky???
help please

we use roof and gutter sealant from wickes m8 . closest thing we've found to the original sealant .

The correct stuff is Carafax non-setting mastic, available, so I'm told, from Halfords, although mine came from a caravan dealers.

It comes in a tube like silicone, fits in a standard mastic gun, and mine is light grey, although I believe black to be out there too

DO clean all the old stuff off as best you can, plus any dirt, and don't forget the area on the car's body that they seat onto.
