Interior footwell neons etc

is Streetwise a company that sells this stuff at about £20-£30 a neon light?
just tasting the water....i may do it...i may not!
but it would make the car differant.
i already haver a the small Green Neon light strip (it can pulse to the beat as well) you can buy at halfords for £16, it fits to the lighter socket! looks very good above the Radio/below the clock on my MY97 interior. lights the deplay area even better.
am i in the wrong car??????? lol

One lad at our office put those blue lights things on his washers {Saxo)
Must admit it didn't look bad a night
Then last week I noticed he had taken them off
On asking why he had done this he advised me that he had been done £60 fine and 3 points

Phil,
they have sticky pads on the holder parts, so yeah, guess you could put them in the footwell. Run off the *** lighter as well.
they were on the car when I got it but you can now get them from [whisper mode on] Halfords [/Whisper mode off]. so would suggest popping down there and having a look. I think they do different sized ones as well, I know that demontweeks stock them as well.\
go on, do it!
On a similar note, in Max Power the other month they had a lighting guide thing, and they had this rather cool moon light visor strip thingy, basically tou cutout the sun visor strip to the logo you want, was thinking, smilies here, would look cool. sorry, sad boy at heart here.

Go Phil!
If done tastefully then this kind of stuff is very cool, just look at the fast and the furious. And of course the king of da salsa is a very cool man, so tasteful it will be, as for Trouser, well Nah, go for it guys, let's show them nova boys how to do it properly.

In Fast & Furious, the cars are using underbody neon tubes, which are rigid and require a high voltage ballast to work, ala HID, the blue winscreen washer things are LEDs, which are also rigid. The electro-luminiscent strips are flexible and can be cut and moulded to the contour of the car interior, allowing custom fitting of different shapes and colours.

There was a posting on an internal newsgroup at work by this guy (with a '98 Fiesta of all things) who had neons in his footwells that lit up when the door was opened. Have you considered something like that, Phil?
Next you have to get the neon phone like the Battersbys had in Coronation Street. King of Cool or what?

Salsa, no, I haven't used this stuff before, just got to it as part of my research for under-car neon lights. Have once thought of importing the latter for a laugh. From what I can gather, you can run the lights off a 12V source, e.g. car battery or *** lighter. It is powered through a inverter which converts the 12V DC to a higher voltage AC and the electro-luminescence (EL) panel emits light when stimulated by electricity. What it may lack at the moment is an interface that enables it to pulse with a music source, which is available for the neon tubes. The disadvantage of neon light is that it is neon gas (hence the name) contained in a glass tube, hence subject to breakage unless protected by a outer plastic sheath, increasing the bulk and rigidity, compared to the flat flexible EL panel. From the prices indicated, the EL strip is much cheaper, so some of you may be tempted to be the guinea pig and try it out.
