quicky on indicator relay
hi all,
is it possible for the left and right indicator part of the relay to fail due to a short etc, but the hazards to still work? it's on a 95 import.
thanks chris

ok got an answer from dealer.
however still got a problem!
when the car was imported someone wired in the rear fog light but just had an mot and it failed on rear fog light not working. so i have now replaced the wireing and switch for the foglights, but now the indicators dont work. i did blow the fuse for the sterio etc when doing it but have replaced it and every thing works except for the indicators. the hazards and alarm work the indicators ok but nothing of the stalk. not sure on what has now happened or what to do, i also need to retest the car asap.
any help would be great.

Could you have damaged the stalk contacts by overloading them?
You could try a new flasher unit, it's situated high up under the dash on the driver's side, mine was green. To identify it, set hazards going, feel the relays up there, (there are at least two), and pull the one that's ticking
To test the stalk contacts, you'll need a circuit tester.

had wondered that. when i spoke to the dealer they said that if the hazards are working the the relay is fine. i'm hopeing its something silly like a differant fuse, loose wire etc, but i gess i'm going to have to trace the wireing back untill i find a fault. just not got much time and hate doing wireing.
