Question

Hiya

My offside side light has gone - replace bulb should be simple? I have had a look and cannot see how to get to the back of the lamp?

There is a screw on the top??

Darent go pulling anything not knowing!! I have a slight reputation for applying a little too much pressure!

Ps,

I take it you mean the front side light?

If so, open the bonnet, there is a screw on top of the sidelight, take it out, pull out sidelight - replace bulb....

Refitting is the reverse of removal

Hope this helps?

Lightbulb

Hi

My car seems to eat those bulbs, so I've become a bit of a pro at changing them

Open the bonnet and undo the screw. That's the easy bit - the next bit is to get the light out - wiggle it a little bit to loosen it and then you have to pull quite hard - the light is held in place with a socket and ball and it is quite tough.

Once you have the light out, unscrew the bulb holder and replace the bulb.

Refitting is a bit easier - just make sure the light is pushed all the way in so the screw holes line up.

Hope this helps. When I first changed it I had real problems so I popped by the local Scoob garage and the guy there looked at it for me - he knew where to poke the screwdriver to pop it out from behind the light, but I've never managed to suss out where it was he poked!

OI!

If said sidelight is a little hard to remove..... use of a large claw hammer may be required

I've done this too.

Undoing the retaining screw is no problem.
Popping the sidelight away from the bodywork requires a bit of pressure, though you can do it by hand.

Reasonably easy job.
