standard classic headlights brighter bulbs required

would like to change the bulbs for brighter ones
what would you recommend.

Two good options are Ring automotive (from A1 motor stores) or Halfords own brand 50% brighter efforts (which were recently 2 for the price of 1, £15). They are both standard colour, no blue tint etc.
There are others from Philips and the like but they are no better and cost more money.

If you can afford it and want the best option without changing the whole headlamp unit, fit some decent HIDs.
3x more light
10x longer lasting than halogens
Have had them fitted to mine for over 17months now and they are far better than any uprated bulb (been there, done that)
