Default Check Engine Light but everything seems ok!?

I get a check engine light come on occassionaly only when i am at low speeds in low gears but it doesnt always come on? the car starts first time everytime and i dont seem to get any problems at all which seems odd considering the light.

I have full decat system which iv been told could cause this light as the emissions are too high and a sensor has recognised this hence showing the light.

What do you think???

I had my first CEL come on after I serviced it

but Im not sure if it was the Fuel Additive I used or because I slightly overfilled with oil....oopps

anyway it sorted itself out but I took some oil out next day to be safe

iv checked the oil level and its in the limits, iv only just bought the car. i spoke to the guy i bought it from and he told me its the emmisions and its nothing to worry about. i just dont want something expensive to go wrong.

It does seem like the emissions, i did a test when goin down a hill. i put the car into neutral to keep the rpm low and the light went off. Iv just never heard of getting a CEL from your emissions being too high?

if it comes on again m8, then theres ways of checking what it means.

theres 2 black and 2 green wires under dash driver side now theres 3 ways to connect them depending what you wanna do cant remember which way but if you connect them then the cel will flash so many times which will refer to an error code number.

theres lists of the error code numbers and the faults they represent and the correct guide to connect the wires.......but youll have to search for them mate
