Default Red flashing Key on Subaru Impreza WRX STI
Any ideas? - I think its just started havent changed anything, just noticed it this morning when i removed my key. Think this appears just below mileage thingy!

I think that is the display for the OEM immobiliser(flashing = on)

Excellent - I'm presuming this is a good thing?

Im a total nerd and have no idea about cars, its my otherhalfs car that I'm allowed to drive for 6 days a week lol

Yes it is a good thing.

With the light flashing, you cannot hot wire the car.

Yes. It is factory std on the newage cars.

Also sometimes it take a loooong while before the lights starts to flash. So you may not have noticed it before.
