headlight problem
Got in the car this morning when i switched on the headlights there was nothing ,sidelights and high beam work but no main beam. Now im no mechanic ,but think its odd that both bulbs would have gone at the same time .This leads me to think it may be the stalk .
Anyone think the same

Remove the easiest to get at bulb, (usually n/s).
With a piece of wire and the car's battery, try it out across the battery terminals, (hint: don't keep it on long and don't touch the glass, it gets very hot very quickly and touching it is a no-no anyway.)
If it only works on ONE filament, try the other bulb too.
Surprisingly, it's NOT unknown for both to go at once.
