Default Is heater/clock/stereo on same fuse?

Typical - as soon as it gets cold I lose the heater (temp and fans) as well as the clock and the stereo. Do all these items share the same fuse?

Have checked all fuses under bonnet - and none appear to have blown? Diagram on fuse box only seems to show 'clock'

Please can anyone help? Otherwise I'm gonna freeze my b*llocks off tomorrow morning

Edit -> its 01 WRX wagon by the way
Sean

Yes - check the fuse box inside the car (behind the drivers side pocket thingy) - but all fuses look okay...

Is there a 50A fuse under the bonnet that I need to change?

Hi All

Update - found that the 15A fuse for Stereo (in fuse box inside car) had blown.
Put another one in, started car - and it blew straight away

Still no heater or clock (all fuses for heater are okay)

Any ideas? Is the stereo shorting out? Shoudl I take it out?

Ended up driving t'other halfs car to work - Ibize 1.4 doesnt like hills!

hi jim would suspect there is either a connector behind the key pad which maybe need cleaning or possibly dodgy fuse box

good luck

Many thanks for the advice! I didnt have time on the weekend to have a look.
Notice that a new thread has sprung up about this - could it be a common problem on the newer models?

Just took head unit out - still same problem

Do any of the 50A fuses or relays in the "under-the-bonnet" fusebox control all of this stuff? Otherwise I'm stumped

It is now fixed

It was a cable from a previous owners install of a sub (in the boot) - they had left the end of the wires bare (not insulated) when they took it all out, and over time (1.5 years - maybe too many fast corners?) the wire touched the bodywork and created a short. If I find the previous owner I'm gonna give them a slap.

Many thanks to Prosport
