The stalk will fit OK, but is the wiring in place to do the job you want it to do?

The stalk itself just powers up a relay that chooses the speed setting. If that relay and it's associated wiring, aren't there, then no go, sorry

To give you an example, I put the stalk from a wagon onto my 98 car in order to control a rear wash-wipe "kit" that I bought from GradeA.

The stalk went on in around 5 minutes, but the associated wiring, relays etc, took best part of a morning , and I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron

It should be a straight swap and the features are on the stalk.

Did this mod on my my99 rb5. Stalks from my00 were a straight swap, no additional wiring was required..

regards Jeff

The OP only wanted to get more speeds on his front wipers. I assume he meant variable delay. The wiring's all there, it just needs the variable timer circuit and I believe that's in the new stalk.
You mentioned a rear wash/wipe kit that you'd fitted so presumably that's the stuff that was missing.

Correct, it was. No wiring to it, no relay, no power supply to stalk for it.

I'm intrigued if the variable delay circuit is IN the stalk, there's not a lot of room.........

I think the delay is set by a resistor. This is probably in the stalk as either switched or fixed values. The timer circuit is in the delay relay.

Willsh...... if you buy them over the phone, or from a breaker, make sure you get the stalk off a my00, the 99's didn't have a variable intermittant!!!!
