Default H4 HID PROBLEMS

Hi all, ive just purchased a h4 hid kit for my classic. After spending good time & effort fitting the kit neatly ive run into a slight problem.

It seems that my classic runs a small current through the full beam circuit when the dip beam is switched on, therefore the hid control unit senses the current & thinks the full beam is on. Ive noticed this before on other jap cars is there any way of disconnecting this circuit so that my hids work as they should ie switch between dip & full beam rather than been jammed on full all the time.

Never heard of this problem before. Non of the kits on alex's or my GB have done this and there are quite a few people using them.

Might be worth contacting your supplier.

What year is the classic? Some of the later cars ran a switched earth sytem, that was more difficult, but not impossible to wire up to.
