This thing damn near burned my car down. This box was fuming, hissing, leaking fluid and was roasting hot. It's still warm an hour after burning out. There was only one cable going into it, which is pretty burned up, but I think was only 2-pins.

What is it? Once we've figured that out, then maybe I can make a decision on if the car's roadworthy!

looks like it could well be a part of the tracker (battery?)

 

defo look like the tracker, mines under the dash but the space is tight, so a boot install is quite likely,bloody lucky m8. got mine out at the moment so will give it a good looking at

that does indeed look like an old tracker battery power supply unit,
did it have a 2 way white plack with black wires coming out of it?
should have had a feed in and out to the tracker?

Hush please, I don't want anyone to know what a tracker power supply looks like nor where it's hidden. I accept it's no doubt public knowledge amongst the experienced TWOCers but if the new ones coming along want to know then scoobynet is not the place for them to find out.
