Hope someone can help, I've gone through 5 coil packs in the last 10 months, each replacement has been second hand but I think even my luck isn't that bad, I'm thinking something else must be causing the failure but I don't know too much about electrics - not even sure if it's called a coil pack! It's the part that's mounted on the inlet manifold on a '97/98 engine that presumably does the work of a distributor and keeps breaking down leaving me to drive back to the garage on three cylinders.

Each time it's replaced it manages to last for about 300 miles before giving out.

Any suggestions?
