MY53 UK WRX how does the rear fog lamp switch come apart to change the bulb (the one for illumination not fog light on) and how do you get access to it ? thanks in advance.

On a classic (not sure how similar they are) on the side of the switch there are 2 plastic screw heads - quarter turn pops them out - the clear one does the illumination and the other has an orange sleve so show when its pressed.

Let me know if you find a replacement - I've tried with no luck.

Cheers Chris

Are the bulbs little wire-ended things? If so, they are available through Maplins.

you need to unravel the wire of the bayonet holder to get the old bulb out then put the new one in, wind the wire round and trim it off. Easy enough but fiddly. Buy a big bagful of bulbs from maplin since the same ones do all the switches, the heater controls and the instrument panel. Once One has failed, they tend to all follow suit.

New age blubs come out in exactly the same way.
