Default HID for Morrettes

I have Morrettes and Piaa driving lamps on main beam FINE, but when I go back to dip I can't see much at all.Is the group buy for HID kit on at the moment? and is it a worthwhile project to improove Dip only?
I'm hoping Alcazar might throw some light(excuse pun) on this subject.
Regards.

Question

What sort of car, model year, do you have?

I've not had any experience of HID in headlights, although many on here now have. I DO have HID driving lights though.

The only reason I haven't gone for HID headlights is that mine has H4 twin filament bulbs, which, I've heard, give worse main beam than halogen.

I stress, that I haven't seen any in person, so it's just what I've heard, and it's only that stopping me from spending.

yes m8 very worthwhile....it make night time driving 100 % better with HID lights , only down side is the cost of replacement bulbs

But as the HID blubs last 10 times as long as conventional blubs (or something like that) the extra cost doesn't matter, you'll sell the car before they stop working.

It's a 52 plate bugeye wagon with morrette conversion alcazar. The bulbs are as came with kit non hid and they're great, I bet they would be fantastic with hid upgrade but it's when I go back on dip and my eyes were adjusted to main beam plus driving piaas where I need a decent dip to fall back on.

Those don't use twin filament bulbs, so my advice would be to go for it, get some HID dips......Cheaper than the twin filament type too
