Default High battery voltage

Any body any Ideas, have done search but could find no answers, all was well untill yesterday, altenator was charging at 13.8 volts, then with no warning it now shows a charge of upto 15 volts, the battery is only a couple of months old, and when checked using a multi meter reads 12+ volts, all readings come via a secs monitor, is there a stand alone voltage regulator, or is it integeral with the altenator..

Yup its your alternator, the diode block needs replacing. Its an integrated part. Maybe cheaper to just do an exchange alternator, not sure where though.

Most auto electrics places will do an exchange alternator or refurb your exisiting one. Last time I had one rebuilt it was £50 (not a Scoob, but that shouldn't make a lot of difference). Bigger motor factors like Lucas or Unipart will probably have a solution for you too.
