Default Electric window switches

Hi
I've got a 98 Imprezza 2.0 GL and have been having problems with the contacts on the NSF EW switch carbonizing. I have taken the switch apart twicw recently and cleaned the contacts but I guess it really needs replacing. My question is:- When I take the switch apart it has Nissan stamped on it, does anyone know what Nissan this switch is used in? It would help n my search for a replacement as Nissans are much more common.

Cheers

i'm afraid i cant help but this thread may help me too though, i just posted the following in general .......

"Does anyone know what the connector behind the door card looks like for the electric window switch operating thingymajig.

I have managed to get hold of some electric window mechanism's, however that is all. So i'm giong to try and make some switches to operate the windows with.

has anyone fitted the connectors and know where and what they look like please.

I'm guessing the connector will be quite large as the drivers one prob. has all four doors on it at a guess.

Also will i be needing any relay's adding to the electrical system to get the loom to work ??

Thanks
Chris. "

Minty,
On the GL you don't have to get behind the door card as the switch fits into the arm rest and just pops out, so I don't know what anything looks like behind the door cards. What I do know is that you can get door cards for the WRX reasonably cheap on ebay complete with switches. Maybe worth a try for you?
