HORN
ok, when i collected my 93 wrx, the steeringwheel fitted did not have a horn button. a press to make switch has been fitted to the dash and a wire run from batter, through horn, onto the switch and then to earth.
i have since bought a new steering wheel and fitted it. the horn looks like it's supposed to earth through the steering column. the live arrive at the switch through the boss via a sprung contact on the steering column switch gear. what happens after this sprung contact is a mystery to me.
in the engine bay there is a black wire and a black wire with coloured stripes on it(can't remeber the colour off hand). anyway when i connect these two wires the the horn it sounds.
i've looked at the wiring diagrams from one of those ebay cd's, but the horn wiring diagram and colour codes are no where to be seen. if i knew the colour codes at least i would have a fighting chance, of tracing the fault.
can anyone help me out with either a wiring diagram or the colour codes and rte it takes to get from steering wheel to horn?
