Can't remember if its the same as my MY98, but if it is, the bulbs are underneath two covers on the side of the switch which come out with a ¼ turn. The backlight is clear and the on indicator is a green coloured bulb. From memory they're about £3 from Subaru. Drop the plastic tray to get to the switches.
