Default Universal Central Locking kit

I need to get some central locking sorted for my93 import and was wondering if anyone has ever tried one of these:

I've not tried that one, but I put remote central locking onto my 96UK when I fitted an alarm. If your car unlocks all the doors when you use a key in the drivers door then you only need the one solenoid.

I do not have any central locking at all but have located the unlocking door motors inside each door. I presume that there has been some central locking installed but does not function anymore.

The wiring inside the drivers door has a disconnected plug. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Check if you have a control module (Door Timer) attached to lower part of the pillar in the passenger foot well. If so it’s likely to be the fault. Take it off - you need a 10mm socket and then ease the cover off the top of the module - You probably find that you have water in the bottom of the box and the circuit board is corroded.

If you don’t have this module then you probably don’t have central locking.
