Can you change colour of dash illumination in Classic easily?
I was sure this topic would have been covered - but after numerous searches I can't find what I am looking for.
I have a 97MY classic and would like to change the dash & switches illumination from green to blue to match my new ICE (blue & red) - is it possible?
Thanks
Mick

It is possible with LED's.
There used to be someone on here selling the kits to convert the instrument binicle and heater controls to blue.
Don't think anyone managed to change the switch illumination colour though there was lots of discusion about how we might do it.
I might have a used kit for sale soon (need to get round to taking the LED's out from behind the heater controls).

Are you selling yours - I guess it must cost a bit if you're bothering to take it all back out???? onder2:

Can't remember what it cost
The LED's fit in place of the std bulbs.
I will get round to taking mine out. The blue doesn't match the Defi gauges I've bought since Just need to find the time and the old green bulbs to put back in.
I expect £20 would cover it
To fit the LED's to the instrument cluster should take an hour or 2. Quicker if you already know how to get it all apart. Heater controls should take about an hour.

I thnk these are for the dash

BUT, the LED's are more concentrated end on than normal bulbs. I put some in the missus' car and although the dials were well lit there were 2 bright points where the LED's were.
Easy to put them in the wrong way around so if they don't work first time rotate by 180 degrees, also worth buying a couple of spares as the little tabs are easily broken pps:
