Default Front lights kicking out to on coming traffic

Hello

Just had my import RA 96 impreza through its MOT, its failed on front head lights kicking out the wrong way, apparently the lights should kick out the opposite way save blinding the on coming traffic.

I've been told its possible I have European headlights on my car, the number on my headlights is E13, has anyone got an impreza 96 UK with an E13 on its headlight.

Any advice will be much appreciated

Sounds like it, mate. Unforunately, they're not adjustable.

The good news is that a post in "wanted" could get you a set off someone who's changed to Morettes? Or YOU could fit Morettes and actually SEE where you are going

Failing either of these, try GradeA Subaru, and/or Glenburgie Subaru, both breakers. There are others, but I don't know the names. Is Midland subaru one?

yes good idea, but before i do can anyone confirm that they have an E13 in a small circle on the headlight itself.

Now been told that the bulbs can affect the kick out

is it a possiblity that the bulb is faulty as i cannot understand why a car that has been imported by myself from Japan would have European headlights fitted

thats strange then, mine being an E13, is it possible that my lights are an odd produce off the production line ?

Looking at the lights from the FRONT, which side is the triangular area that causes the dip offset? It's not TRULY triangualr, more like a trapezium, but on a UK car it should be to lower left of centre of the lights, viewed from the front.

If it's to lower RIGHT, then yours are European LH drive lights, (for driving on the RIGHT). Is it possible someone owned the car before you and weas living in France, or Germany etc, so changed the lights for convenience?

yes, but hard to work out what you were saying. Any chance someone can upload a picture of a uk headlight?

The car even has a Japanese GPS unit in it with tv display all in Japanese, so the car must of been in japan. Maybe its the way the bulbs are in, anyone ???
