And

For a newage the bulbs are 'push' fit wedge types not pins.
Can't remember what I type they are but have Sivatec front and rear(same bulbs)
TBH you should PM DJ Dunk and ask what he can do for you

Richiewong: Thank you very much for your reply, I have PMed DJ Dunk, from searches he seems the main man, but have no reply yet.

It’s all a bit confusing, anybody else got any clues?

we sell the PIAA ones - see this link if its of any help (at bottom of page)

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...roducts_id=634

The Silvatec bulbs dont fit the 03-05 rears.

The PIAA's are a push fit into the rears. Not tested on the front as yet, but believe they are the same fitment.

Thumbs up

Right then, rummaged about my garage and found the part number from the old packaging.

My 04WRX uses the same Silvatec bulb front and rear detango.
This is the BU501S CAPLESS WEDGE BULB usually retail at £15/pair.

Got mine from Revolution

SORRY ITS THE WRONG PART NUMBER, THINK THIS IS FOR SIDE REPEATER BULBS YOU WANT BU582S T20 CAPLESS WEDGE

Tried a pair of silver bulbs of unknown origin in my 03 and wasn't impressed, too dim in daylight, ended up taking them out. Are some brands better than others ?

Had some Silvertec ones in my Classic and they were as good as the Orange type.

Scoobydaddy,
Would be interested to know when you get yours, if they are as bright as the OE bulbs.

Cheers

Well I have had no reply from DJDunk, perhaps he does not supply them anymore or is on holiday or something

NeilT: has sorted Scoobyworlds website now to include the words, price for a pair, but has also told me that Silvatec bulbs do not fit the 03-05 rear indicator, but the PIAA ones do at around double the price, even taking into
account the updated information on the site.

(I would like to thank him for replying to this thread and sending me PM’s)

Richiewong: told me they do, because he fitted them to his 04WRX, although he quoted the wrong part number to start with.
(I have placed my trust with you )

http://www.revolution.eu.com/erol.html#28582x0&&
This web site tells you the bulbs are sold in pairs but has no part numbers, so you have not got a clue what you are ordering.

Bottom line is that, I have not got a clue if I have ordered the right bulb or it the will be bright enough.

Then again the problems might only be starting as I don’t know how to fit them!

How hard can this be?

Scoobydaddy

I phoned up airspeed to ask where my order had got to, and was told that he could not remember it off hand, and that I should have got the bulbs by now, but he would sort it out Monday during opening hours, as they were now shut.

So fair enough. (very helpful )
www.airspeed.uk.com

I also had it confirmed that they were road legal, and I e-mailed airspeed to give them the option of changing them if they were not fit for road use and bearing the BSI or E mark, seeing my order had not been sent to me.

As I posted before, there is no E-marking (or any other) in Silvatec BU582S bulbs. I have a set here in front of me, just took a good look at the bulbs trying to find any marks.. I ordered mine from Scoobyparts, got bulbs in 2 days
