Default Fitting new fuel pump

Just fitting a Walbro fuel pump kit. Everything fits ok, (though the rubber isolator is a bit iffy) but the old pump had 2 wires leading to what looks like a resistor. The new pump doesn't use this - will this cause a problem?

cheers
