Classic Front Sidelights
Thinking about gettin some of the jewel conversions that have recently come out as I think they will go well with the headlights, indicators and spots.
Noticed that prices are less obviously on ebay than from retailers, by about 20 quid. Anyone have any reserves about buying from such a source ? I know theyre not an oem product from subaru so from either supplier they should be the same.
Has anyone got these ? Reccommend anywhere to buy them from ?
Cheers

hi paul...
do yourself a favour mate and fork out the little bit extra and but from scoobynet or scoobyworld...... pay the bit extra coz i went the whole hog and put morrettes on , de tango'd etc ...went for cheaper side repeaters and every time i washed the car they steamed up.........
i know the most expensive aint always the best but try and make sure you dont get ripped and pay around 20 bucks for something that you should get in your christmas cracker................
morrettes are just the biz..... 4x 100watts on full beam
you can see me coming anyway..........
get them instead............

I wouldn't bother with any off ebay - I got a set and they were rubbish. The plastic housing was yellow (the OE are grey - stood out like a sore thumb on a DBM car) & the rubber seal fell off and soon as you looked at it.
Neither of these mattered though as they ddn't fit anyway. I've also heard that the cheaper ones are very prone to filling up with rainwater - mine weren't on long enough to find out.
I've been told TSL's are good but the price has put me off for the time being.

sidelights
As it happens, I got a set for sale, brought from flat4online as part of detango pack (pics on site). Never fited to car, still as new in box.
Personaly I decided to stick with the clear sidelights already on the car.
up for 50 on the site, I'd be happy with 30
Cheers

i bought a set of crystal sidelights just as they were launched from scoobyworld and my drivers side one is always misting up and filling with water.Passenger side is spot on.I also found that the seal around the sidelight has come away from the rest of the unit so it goes to show that even the more expensive ones from reputable dealers have problems
