Elec Window probs...
Before I start taking things apart and spending money that perhaps doesn’t need to be spent, can anyone offer some advice with this problem??
The electric windows on my 00MY Turbo were never the fastest of movers (positively lethargic compared to other cars I’ve owned), but the front passenger window has – over the last two days or so – started to stick at about three-quarters of the way up. It’ll go down perfectly, but won’t rise completely without manual assistance (i.e. a fair bit of tugging - no muppet-style Viagra jokes, thankyouverymuch!! ).
It seems to be sticking up front, where I’ve noticed some rubber deposits on the glass.
Any suggestions??
Cheers
Kev

I had this on the drivers side.
Inside the triangular section there are screws that hold the mirror on. These push rubber out of the way to get through (hard to describe - easy to see once apart).
I simply trimed the excess (sticking out bit of rubber) off with a craft knife - job done.
