Default Central locking...and more!

Hi,
I've just bought my first Scooby ('95 Turbo 2000 import), and there are a few things I am trying to fix but can't for the life of me work out how!
Firstly, my central locking doesn't work. I'm guessing it's the fuse but can't find the fuse box. I've found the one in the engine bay but they all seem OK. Help anyone?
Also, does anyone know how to remove the original stereo? Short of ripping it out I can't see a way.
And finally, where is the button for the headlight washers? I know it's only a small thing but I'll be looking for it forever if someone doesn't give me a clue.

Cheers!

James

cdl relay is on the ns a pillar and some how water gets in there had 2 go on different cars. the radio is bolted in and you will have to remove the trim around the radio to get at the screws holding it in

Thanks. I managed to find the fuse box only to discover that none of the fuses are actually blown! You mentioned the relay in the 'A' frame? I'm afraid I'm not too good with the technical terms so any chance you could explain where I might find it in idiot's terms? Otherwise I'd only take off all the panels and still not find it!

Thanks

hi james

the relay should be on the piller just to the right of the glove box if you look up from where your feet would be if you sat in the seat you will see a black box with a plug going in to the side of it

Thanks Adrian. I'll try that tomorrow as it's dark now. Just one final question, Are you speaking from the perspective of a left hand drive or right hand drive car?

Cheers!

Had the same problem with my car mate, the CL box is in the passenger footwell, just to the left of your feet at the top of the carpet. A little black box, u can unplug the connector and remove the box. Open it and u will probably see that the bottom part of the circuit board is all corroded. I cleaned the tracks and bridged some of the connectors, put it back and hey presto it worked!!

Radio was easy, pull out the cup holder above the radio, undo the two screws, look down another at the gear box gator, pull out the centre console surround, u will see the screws for the centre console unit, undo them then radio and all wire mesh comes out. screws for the radio might be on the side. Game on!!! good luck
