Default Tinting rear indicator lights?

Seen a couple of photos of classics with the indicators on the rear clusters tinted so all that remains are the red lights and reverse lights... has anyone done this and how easy is it? Presume just normal light tinting spray can be used etc?

Cheers!

never done it, but I suppose mask the reverse light and red parts carefully and trim with a craft knife, then just spray it
