has anyone with a decent and possibly fairly recent model radar detector (not GPS based) driven past a portable camera?

I am looking to gather info to see whch frequencies the portable radar (not laser) guns use.

I am after this in order to find out if it will be safe to disable K band sensitivity on my detector and reduce false alarms to pretty much zero. I haven't passed a trap in all the time I have had mine.

I am not worried about fixed gatsos once I disable my K band as I have an origin B2 working alongside it, I am just trying to eliminate false alarms.

I have seen somewhere that the scamera vans thorughout the UK all use laser rather than radar speed detection in all except one county where they still use the older style radar units.

No evidence that this is right just something I read.

If this is right then you need a diffuser to get any meaningful defence.
