I recently noticed that in the wiring loom tucked under by the steering column there were two green plugs which were not fitted together (I had just returned from the dealer to have the MAF sensor checked so maybe these were taken apart to attach the diagnostic equipment?)

Anyway I have joined these two plugs back together but have noticed another spare plug which is black which appears to have nowhere to go! Does anyone have any idea what this plug might be for and if it should be attached to anything?

There should be 2 green and 2 black plugs, they are for diagnostics only.
they shound not be connected together
