Over the weekend my scoob (UK MY97) has developed an electrical hiccup.

The tail lights (not brake, reverse, indicators), rear fogs, front fogs and the backlighting on the speedo/rev counter all stopped working.

Does anybody know of any common places where a wire/wires gets snagged or loosens, i've checked all the fuses and now i'm a bit stumped. i could really do with fixing this quick before i get pulled for having no rear lights!!!!

Yeup. You checked your illumination fuses? If they're okay, check the relays and then the headlight switch, as everything you are describing runs off the one circuit.
