Folding mirrors on MY99 UK
Anyone done this. Getting a set of MY96 folding mirriors but no switch gear.
Would like to have them wired up to fold when doors locked
and unfold when unlocked. Noticed there are +ve/-ve outputs from the central-locking, could I use these some-way or splice into the wires for the front door locks.
B*gger, just realised, when I lock the doors when driving, the mirrors would fold
Must be a way round this, a relay to disable fold when ignition on... getting a bit more involved now.
cheers

I'm sure I've seen a website where a guy did this as well as fitting a wiper for the rear window in a UK car.
Think its easier to buy the switch of a JDM car so you do it manually from the mirror adjustment ****.

My JDM's mirrors do not fold in/out automatically. The ignition has to be on if I want to fold them in/out and they do not fold in when I turn off ignition/fold out when I turn ignition on.
It's a standard MY02 JDM WRX - just for info

Yeah the website link would be good. Been doing a little research onto this, and so far ive found that (possibly all) imports have it. In theory all you should really need to do is wire up the new switch and run the cables. At least i hope it'll be that easy.
Oh yeah dont forget youll need to colour code them
