Converting Morettes for driving in Europe

Converting Morettes for driving in Europe
Evening all,
I'm off to France at the weekend, so I guess I should play nicely and blank off part of the dip beam on my Morettes (on a classic) so as not to blind the oncoming traffic.
Anyone know which segment of the lens I need to cover?
Cheers,
Steve

What you need to do is either of the following :
1) Tape off the top half of your outer lights completley
this will cut the beam to a flat shape rather than tilting off to the left,
2) Use the headlamp adjusters.
probably better as you can bring the headlamps up when no oncoming traffic is around.
Im posted in Germany and when i ordered my car i ordered morrettes in RH drive format, Derrrrrrrr!
So i had to buy another set in LH drive.
These are your only options as far as im aware as you cannot switch the beam pattern like you can on some german motors.
You cannot use a beam dflector either as the morrette uses a projector type lense.
Hope this was of some help m8

Steve - ask your dealer. There is a blanking kit available specifically for the Subaru Morette's. It is not expensive (my dealer actually gave it to me for nothing) - might be worth a check.
