Unhappy

My central locking has suddenly decided that it will only unlock the drivers door (95WRX with Toad Cat1). If I manually open the other three doors, using the interior lock switches, and then manually lock the drivers door, unlocking then locks the threes doors and unlocks the drivers. It is as though, no matter what, the central locking is always locking the three doors but not the drivers. Disabling the Toad system makes no difference.

If any of this makes sense have you any ideas as to the cause?

Thanks

Dave

Thumbs up

Thanks for the response guys, I'll get the drivers door checked out but I suspect the door timer switch on the passenger side as the locks seem to attempt to move but there is a 'click' from the passenger side (foot well or under dash) as if a relay is cutting out or something.

Don't know much about this but;
Might be the drivers door solenoid.

Not sure if the other doors are activated by the drivers dr solenoid or if theres a central locking unit.

Have you had the door trim off and looked at the solenoid?

Iain.

Chaps,
Sounds like a similar prob that is on mine. Mine is booked in for a clutch etc next week and I have also requested that they replace the driver's door switch solenoid. I have had the same prob as you for some time and after having an Auto electrician take a look he confirmed that either the Door Timer switch within the passenger foot well ist Kaputt or the drivers door switch solenoid is.
Get both of these checked out...

Cheers, Jacko.
